Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Buhoma
Travel to Buhoma near Bwindi. Check in to your lodge, meet your guide, and enjoy a sunset briefing about the area. Dinner at the lodge.
Gorilla Trekking
Early breakfast and transfer to UWA headquarters. After the ranger briefing, trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Spend up to one hour with a mountain gorilla family. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon community walk visiting the Batwa trail or local school project.
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi (approximately 1.5 hours). Check in to your lakeside lodge. Afternoon canoe trip to explore the nearby islands and enjoy the stunning terraced hillside scenery. Dinner overlooking the lake.
Lake Bunyonyi Exploration
Full day at the lake. Visit Punishment Island, swim in the clean waters, try paddleboarding, or simply relax. Optional visit to a local community project. Evening bonfire at the lodge.
Departure
Breakfast by the lake. Depart for Entebbe, Kampala, or your next destination. The drive to Entebbe takes approximately 7–8 hours with scenic stops.
