Murchison Falls National Park
Uganda's largest national park, where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge creating an awe-inspiring waterfall.
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest and oldest conservation area, covering over 3,800 square kilometers in northwestern Uganda. The park is named after the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the entire force of the River Nile is squeezed through a narrow 7-meter gap before plunging 43 meters into the 'Devil's Cauldron' below. The park offers classic big game safaris, Nile boat cruises and some of the most dramatic scenery in East Africa.
