Lake Mburo National Park is a compact and beautiful park in western Uganda, centered around the scenic Lake Mburo. It is the closest savanna national park to Kampala, making it a popular stop on the way to or from Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth. Despite its smaller size, it is home to an impressive variety of wildlife including zebras, giraffes (recently reintroduced), hippos, elands, impalas and over 350 bird species. It is the only park in southern Uganda where you can see zebras.
