Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Bwindi Lodge

Scenic drive to Bwindi. Check in to your mid-range lodge with forest views. Afternoon at leisure, briefing for the gorilla trek. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking & Community

Briefing at UWA headquarters, then forest trek to meet mountain gorillas. One hour with the family. Return for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon Batwa cultural experience or community walk.

Day 3

Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth via Ishasha

Drive through the scenic southern sector. Stop in Ishasha to look for tree-climbing lions in the fig trees. Continue to your Queen Elizabeth safari lodge. Sunset views over the savanna.

Day 4

Full Safari Day

Morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. Spot elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards and antelope. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise — hippos, crocodiles, elephants bathing, and over 100 bird species from the water.

Day 5

Departure

Early morning game drive for final wildlife sightings. Breakfast, then depart for Entebbe, Lake Bunyonyi, or your next destination.
