Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Buhoma, Bwindi

Travel to Buhoma near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Settle in to your budget guesthouse, meet your guide, and prepare for the gorilla trek. Dinner and early night.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking

Briefing at UWA headquarters, then trek into the rainforest. Spend one hour with a mountain gorilla family. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon community walk in Buhoma village.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive from Bwindi through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park (3–4 hours). Look for tree-climbing lions along the way. Continue to your lodge near the park's northern sector. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4

Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains — elephants, buffalo, lions, Uganda kob. Return for lunch, then afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles and birdlife from the water.

Departure

Optional early morning game drive. Breakfast, then depart for Entebbe or your next destination.
