Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Buhoma

Pick-up from your previous location or Entebbe airport. Drive to Buhoma near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (8–10 hours from Entebbe with scenic stops including the Equator crossing). Check in to your budget guesthouse, meet your guide, and receive a briefing for the next day. Dinner and early night.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking

Early breakfast, then report to UWA park headquarters for a ranger briefing. Set off into the forest with your ranger guide and optional porter. The trek takes 2–8 hours depending on the gorilla family's location. Spend up to one hour observing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Optional community walk in Buhoma village.

Day 3

Departure

Breakfast with forest views. Depart for your next destination or begin the return journey to Entebbe/Kampala. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the way. Optional extension to Lake Bunyonyi or Queen Elizabeth National Park.
